I am Homina Silak, Papua, Indonesi, an alumna of Mission Motivators, located in Purok 3, Catagman, Island Garden City of Samal, Philippines. I’d like to share my journey and experience of serving as a staff member for the first time at Mission Motivators.

First and foremost, I am deeply grateful to God for His faithfulness in my life. I currently serve as one of the staff at Mission Motivators in Melonguane, Talaud Islands Regency, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. When I first began, I quickly realized that being a staff member is not easy. My time in Talaud was filled with challenges. As a staff, I had to set an example for the trainees. This meant waking up early, leading worship, assigning general cleaning duties, preparing English tutorials, and even planning meals for the team. It was a season of sowing in tears—but also one of reaping with joy.
On March 10, 2025, I flew to the Philippines, accompanying some of our international students from Mission Motivators Melonguane. I volunteered as a staff member and served as a translator for our Indonesian students during a 45-day training. It has been my joy to help them, especially in improving their English. Through this time, I’ve learned so much—more than words can express. This experience has truly been one of the best in my life.
Serving as a voluntary staff member here for 45 days has taught me valuable lessons. One of the most important is this: sowing for the nations often involves tears. Sowing isn’t only about giving financially—although that’s part of it—it’s really about offering your life to the Lord. Responding to God’s call has required me to push myself—to wake up early, stay up late, and carry responsibilities beyond translation. I am here not just to serve as a translator, but to serve God. These are the sacrifices I willingly make, and I know there will be more to come as I continue sowing my life for His Kingdom.
