In 1979, J. Wilson wrote a book entitled “Today’s Tentmakers.” That book popularized the word “Tentmaking” in Christian mission vocabulary. The term comes from the strategy used by the apostle Paul who supported himself by making tents in order to preach the gospel in the “regions beyond.” Modern tentmakers work in secular jobs in order to share the gospel cross – culturally among unreached or least reached peoples. Tentmakers have a missionary calling and training. They are in full – time spiritual ministry even though they may have full – time employment. Last October 03, 2011 Mission Motivators – School of Missions, Philippines head by Rev. Vitaliano V. Nuñez, Jr. in partnership with Love Asia Missions Partner Foundation Int’l head by Dr. Fritz Cobrado, the school have started the Global Mission Course for OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers). It is a one month training design for those who Christians within the qualification who wants to work abroad at the same time be a missionary. Praise be to God to the success of the first batch of this training. Pray for the graduates of this training that God will use them mightily in the country where they are going to be sent.
