Dr. Paul Kim had been praying for a plan to invite Christian leaders from Southeast Asia to Korea and hold a conference even before the pandemic. He decided to hold the event this year and requested sponsorship from Gudeok Church. The church elders agreed to help and invited around 40 Christian leaders from various countries, such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, to attend the South East Asian Leaders (SEAL) Conference in 2024. The conference’s main goal is to strengthen the Southeast Asian Christian network, which was weakened during the pandemic. It also aims to introduce the history of Korea, the spirituality and traces of the Korean church, the historical Prayer movement, the spirit of martyrs, and the mission movement, with a particular emphasis on Busan and the Region of Gyeongnam in the Southern Province of Korea.
