kor web newsWe praise God for bringing the short term Mission Team from Guduk Church last 14-24 January 2014. The love of Jesus overflowed through them as they ministered using their Cultural presentation, dramas, skits, interpretative dance, and testimonies. They visited several places in Samal island such as Orphanage, a Muslim community, the National High School, and a Relocation site for fire victims. Also, four hours from the base to M’lang, Cotabato at the Southern Baptist College Campus with around 1,500 students and the faculty and staffs. The following day, they ministered to the Mayor, other officials and employees of Tulunan, Municipal government, proceeding afterwards to the B’laan tribal people at Bacong, North Cotabato. They brought a great impact to the lives of these people who were very thankful and blessed because they were very friendly and down to earth.
We were informed that they prepared for 3 months for this mission exposure. We also found out that they have sacrificed their holiday vacation, finances, jobs and business, and other schedule to be available to be the Lord’s vessels of blessings. During their stay, we observed that they are very prayerfully foc used and united in their purpose, eventhough the circumstances and weather made it a little more difficult for them. It was actually raining on and off for more than a week due to a typhoon and a few of them got sick but there was no complains. They were very willing to serve, adapt and adjust, and volunteer to help.
The students and staff of School of Mission enjoyed these times that we spent with them working, worshipping, praying, and fellowshipping. We thank God for the victorious Mission Exposure as we also acknowledge the leadership of brother Joshua, Aaron, and sister Sarah. We will all miss them and will keep them in our prayers. To God be the Glory.
In Christ,
Rev. Tito Quiano, Vice president
